The situation
While You're In Town is a directory of attractions, events, and businesses organized by state and city, built around short video and local voices rather than paid rankings.
What had to be true
Directories are easy to build and hard to make feel trustworthy. The design had to make a small platform read as the local expert while staying simple enough for a business owner to list themselves.
The work
Product experience
Browse by state and city, listing pages built around video, and a listing flow a business owner can finish in one sitting.
Brand system
A visual identity that reads as hospitable and local rather than corporate.
Calls we made, and why
| Lead with video, not lists | A place is easier to trust when you can see it. Listing pages put the video first and the details second. |

What we can source
- Platform live and taking listings.
